Aemera tenant improvements, edmonton, alberta
AEMERA's 19,000 sq. ft. space, spread over two floors of an existing high-rise downtown building, was successful in reflecting the organizational culture and brand. The vision for the project was to create a fresh and welcoming new space for employees and clients that would facilitate a collaborative and creative atmosphere. The client organization’s focus in environmental reporting allowed RK’s designers to bring in natural features into the office interior.
The entrance was also grounded and softened by an upside down L-build out with a walnut veneer and tiny pin LED lights that brighten the area. Wood elements were extended throughout the space and colour was added through paint, uniquely patterned fabrics, carpeting and resin panels.
The project was awarded the Design Innovation Award at the inaugural AWMAC Northern Alberta Awards of Excellence.
