At a whopping 300,000 sq. ft., the Gordon Food Service (GFS) Distribution Centre boasts an incredible amount of warehouse and office space, including food storage, shipping and receiving, food preparation areas, and a fully-equipped test kitchen. There are an additional five separate freezers storing product at different temperatures to accommodate various food requirements for items such as produce, dairy, meat, and fish.
Equipped with a sophisticated automatic delivery and sorting system that scans and organizes product, fills out orders, and which is well-supported by storage racking, GFS has since been able to increase their efficiency and productivity.
