Senior Architectural Technologist

location: CALGARY, AB

Riddell Kurczaba is offering an excellent full-time opportunity, in our Calgary Office, for a motivated individual who desires a progressive work environment that offers significant potential for personal and professional growth. responsibilities include:

  • Works from sketches, notes and other input material to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and completed drawings. Can complete finished product with limited direction.

  • Lead production with regards to quality, on time delivery of projects and budgets

  • Work with various stake holders determine resources, timelines and budget projections

  • Working with the senior management team to meet client goals and ensure client satisfaction

  • Accuracy, quality, completeness and adherence to the schedule can be independently maintained

  • Generally involved throughout a project but may help out as backup to other teams as needed

  • Understand and follow company standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. Suggest improvements to standard procedures. 

  • Recommend new methods and procedures for completion of drawings 

qualifications include:

  • Proven ability using and managing the current industry versions of Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer

  • Competency with Alberta Building Code is essential

  • Competency with City of Edmonton requirements for DP and BP submissions

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills

  • Superior understanding of project production cycles

  • Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills

education and experience:

  • Diploma or Degree from 2+ year technology program

  • 10 – 15 years Architectural production experience

  • 2 - 5 years leading or managing production teams in Canada

  • Strategic, organized and well versed in resource and project management

  • Excellent AutoCAD skills a must; Revit experience an asset
