Calgary Herald: Quarry Park Transformation from Gravel Pit to community
Remington Development Corporation’s Quarry Park is a 314-acre project situated on land that operated largely as a gravel extraction and wash site since the mid-1950s.
Considered one of the largest and most ambitious brownfield reclamation projects in North America, the redevelopment of the quarry site began in 2006, transforming it into an active, sustainable community and one of the largest mixed-use communities in Calgary.
Riddell Kurczaba is proud to have undertaken the Site Planning and Architecture for several building sites within this colossal project, having completed, to date, the following sections of the Park: Imperial Oil Campus, North Quarry Campus, Jacobs, Boulevard Centre, Quarry Park Professional Centre, Parkside, Quarry Central, and Quarry Crossing.
